CLIENT: Arts Connection: The Arts Council of San Bernardino.
OBJECTIVE: Create a brand around the 2014 Arts Connection conference targeting artists and those interested in the arts. Make the design dynamic, incorporating a look and feel that is welcoming and has an ‘artsy’ feel. Promotional materials such as an event program, signage, flyers, posters, slideshows, digital content, handouts, forms, and more will also be created for the event.
PROCESS: I began this project with many digital comps of a poster. After much revision with board members of the arts connection we decided to go for a more casual look showing off artist tools from all areas backing it with a kraft/cork board background. Getting the event logo, look and feel was the hard part of this project because there were a lot of people who needed to see the design and approve it before moving forward but everything following such as signage, slideshows, etc was relatively quick and easy. The project, from initial comps to the date of the actual conference, took around 2-3 months. This was a huge project that required many design pieces which ultimately became part of the larger whole and turned out spectacular.
